Nature on Camp (most are from 40-50k in size)

  • 3 deer - A mother and her twin fawns making their rounds
  • A nest of Bird eggs - Found in the midst of the hustle and bustle of camper feet
  • A camera shy deer - This deer was acutely aware of the camera
  • A purple flower - An annual spring pioneer pushing through layers of dead leaves
  • Yellow flowers - These flowers add some of the first color to spring
  • Geese - This group seems to have taken a fancy to camp's beach and dock area
  • A baby red squirrel - As cute as they get, this one and his family were found taking residence in a cabin dresser in early spring
  • A mysterious tree - a rare shot because of being blanketed by both snow and fog
  • A hungry Fox squirrel - Why hasn't anyone been effective at explaining to the squirrel population the difference between bird and squirrel food?

General (most are from 40-50k in size)

  • Archery - Hitting the target often has more to do with preparation than strength
  • A sand cross - A sand creation with important significance
  • Bird's eye view - Actually a plane's view from the Southeast
  • Boat dock - featuring a pontoon, paddle, canoe, row, and a rescue boat
  • Ebenezer - a special place of worship and reflection. The word means, Thus far, the Lord has helped us - and so He has!
  • 3 Song leaders - Jammin with Jesus - The glory is all His!
  • 360° Panorama of the Dining Room
  • 360° Panorama of the Game Room
  • Playground - a quiet, foggy morning - that is, for about 10 more minutes...
  • Polar Bear - You can learn a lot from mamma and pappa polar bear! getting up early, growling, and taking a morning dip. Also see sound clip!
  • The Moose - A Lutherhaven tradition - kissing the Big Moose! Go ahead, we won't tell
  • Entrance Sign - decked out in a foundation of summer flowers

Sounds

  • Polar Bear You get up in the wee hours of the morning, then you let out a polar bear growl to the South, and then it's time to . . . well . . .get in!
  • Door #1 One of the most feared sounds when out in the woods away from the safety of your cabin.
  • Door #2 The sound that usually follows, after hearing the above sound.
  • Door #3 And the final sound after the above two sounds. ...That should do it.
  • And why is that? This answers many important questions like why Lutherhaven exists and why we would choose to be with 100+ screaming kids for days at a time!
  • Moby Fred Some say he's not real, some say he's a animal mutation that's been around before Lutherhaven was even here! Check out the map to see an artist's rendition of what he may look like.
