To Apply for Lutherhaven's
Summer Staff Team
Every year Camp Lutherhaven needs approximately 30 Christian,
college-aged, young adults to join the Lutherhaven summer team. This ministry
team strives to provide a high quality, Christ-centered, summer camp experience
for over 1600 children, youth, and adults. Each year we need a head cook,
assistant cooks, maintenance workers, a first aid coordinator, a waterfront
director/lifeguard, program staff, and counselors. A summer of camp provides
invaluable work experience including significant challenges to grow spiritually,
emotionally, and mentally. It also can provide wonderful new friends and
memories to last a lifetime. Starting pay begins at approximately $1700 for the
11 weeks of summer service and includes room and board. In 2008, staff training
will begin on Monday, May 26th, and MUST be attended in full by all staff
members. The last official camp session ends on Friday, August 8th. We ask
that you prayerfully consider the possibility of joining this ministry team.

graduate of Concordia College in Ann Arbor,
Michigan. His degree is in Secondary Education

Program Director - Youth Ministry
Celine Newman has recently accepted this
position after serving in an interim capacity since February of 2007.
Celine was born and raised in the town of Gallup, NM. She lived with her mother,
Donna, father, Marvin, and brother, William. In high school she was actively
involved in youth group, soccer, swimming and band. She attended college at
Concordia University, Irvine, CA, where she continued her music studies with
oboe, handbells, and directing and as a Director of Christian Education. Celine
also spent times on international and youth ministry teams as well as serving at
Lutherhaven as summer staff three summers and 1 year as the Ministry Impact
worker. We're excited for how God will continue to use her for His

Executive Director
Tim Jank, formally a Director of
Christian Education (DCE) near Chicago IL, joined the ministry of Camp
Lutherhaven in 1993 as Executive Director. While
in college, Tim discovered how exciting and
unique outdoor ministry could be after spending
three summers at
Sonrise Lutheran Outdoor
Ministry, a camp in upstate New York. His
interests include computers, music, photography,
sports, and of course, being a Dad. He and his
wife Brenda met at Concordia College, Seward, NE
where they both graduated in the DCE program.
They have five children; Joshua, Samuel, Joseph, Anna and Noah.
Office
Administrator
Peggy Kreger is currently serving
in this position after joining the Lutherhaven year-round staff in August 2004. She previously was the store manager for Family Christian Stores in Fort
Wayne, IN. Living in Noble County as a young girl, Peggy has always enjoyed camping. Peggy became a Christian at a church camp many years ago and feels blessed to be a part of the ministry of Camp Lutherhaven.
Peggy and her husband, Bill, now reside in Churubusco with their four children, Kenneth, Barbara, Elizabeth,
and Jedidiah.
In her free time, Peggy enjoys scrapbooking and cross-stitch. The family recently became involved in Civil War re-enacting. Although Peggy enjoys her role as an 1860's civilian woman, (cooking over the open campfire, quilting, and portraying her first-person role as Louisa LeGrand), she says, "I never really appreciated a comfy pair of sweats as much as I do since re-enacting. Corsets and petticoats get awful heavy and cumbersome just by the end of the weekend. No wonder those women always looked tired!" The Kreger's also enjoy "modern" tent camping as a family.
