Director of Summer and Youth Ministry
Celine Newman is the newest addition to the full time staff, serving
in this position
since 2007. Celine was born and raised in the town of Gallup, NM where she lived with her mother, Donna, father, Marvin, and brother, William. In high school she was actively involved in youth group, soccer, swimming and band. She attended college at Concordia University, Irvine, CA, where she continued her music studies with oboe, handbells, and directing and as a Director of Christian Education. Celine also spent times on international and youth ministry teams as well as serving at Lutherhaven as summer staff three summers and 1 year as the Ministry Impact worker.
Celine oversees the summer programs as well as the stepping stones of faith,
confirmation retreats throughout the year.
Director of Rest and Renewal Ministry
Brenda Jank, began her ministry
full time at Lutherhaven in 1993 as Program Director when husband Tim was
brought on as Executive Director. After stepping down to start a
family, she continues to use her talent and passion for biblical rest and
renewal in many programs at Camp Lutherhaven. Brenda volunteers her
time for Camp in this area which impacts Camp's Day Away, Vantage Point, and
Women's Retreats among others.
Executive Director
Tim Jank, formally a Director of Christian Education (DCE) near Chicago IL, joined the ministry of Camp Lutherhaven in 1993 as Executive Director. While in college, Tim discovered how exciting and unique outdoor ministry could be after spending three summers at Sonrise Lutheran Outdoor Ministry, a camp in upstate New York. His interests include computers, music, photography, sports, and of course, being a Dad. He and his wife Brenda met at Concordia College, Seward, NE where they both graduated in the DCE program. They have five children; Joshua, Samuel, Joseph, Anna and Noah.
Office Administrator
Jane Bunn is currently serving in this position after joining the Lutherhaven year-round staff in
September 2011. Lutherhaven is blessed to add Jane to the staff team
along with her passion for the outdoors.
Ministry Impact Staff
Camp Lutherhaven is pleased to welcome two new Ministry Impact Workers this
fall,
Russell Baumann and
Bethany Andrews. They began serving in this position in
August 2011 and September 2011 respecitvely. Their pursuit of ministry
and servant hearts are a terrific addition to the staff team.
The Ministry Impact position at Camp
Lutherhaven runs from August to May. If you or anyone you know might be

Part-time staff
Part-time staff are crucial to Lutherhaven's daily operation. Currently camp uses housecleaning, cooking, and maintenance help.
