Every year Camp Lutherhaven needs approximately
28 Christian, college-aged, young adults to join the Lutherhaven summer
team. This ministry team strives to provide a high quality,
Christ-centered, summer camp experience for over 1600 children, youth, and
adults.
Staffing needs include cooks, maintenance workers, a first aid coordinator, a waterfront director/lifeguard, program staff, and counselors. A summer of camp provides invaluable work experience including significant challenges to grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. It also can provide wonderful new friends and memories to last a lifetime.
Starting pay begins at approximately $1800 for the 11 weeks of summer service and includes room and board. In 2009, staff training will begin on Monday, May 25th, and MUST be attended in full by all staff members. The last official camp session ends on Friday, August
7th. We ask that you prayerfully consider the possibility of joining this ministry team.

Lutherhaven hires summer staff as a part of a joint effort across the U.S. with other Lutheran camps that are a part of the National Lutheran Outdoors Ministry Association (NLOMA). The NLOMA site will prove to be helpful in finding other camps similar to Lutherhaven across the country and will allow you to submit an application with your camp preferences listed. Also, if you know another person who has the qualities and gifts to make a good summer counselor or support staff person, please direct them to this site as well.
Occasionally, Lutherhaven has year-round, part-time and full-time
positions available. You can see our current listing of staff
positions here. Some of
the other positions at Christian camps around the country can be found
at www.nloma.org and www.ccca.org.
